The Nikkor AF-S DX 10-24mm F/3.5-4.5G ED is a wide angled zoom meant for the digital SLR cameras of the DX format.
Nikon, for the first time in 2003 offered a DX wide angle lens. Gradually it added to its kitty is the Nikkor AF-S DX 12-24/4 G, a very high quality but slightly expensive wide angle lens. However, with the launch of the Nikkor AF-S DX 10-24mm F/3.5-4.5G ED in 2009, Nikon broke even and reached out to a lot of customers who found it to be very useful and affordable.
